About this project
The coastal expressway package combined elevated bridge structures with heavy-duty pavement designed for sustained container freight loading. Strobell Africa provided the independent engineering review and the materials verification regime for both.
On the structures side our engineers reviewed the pile design against the geotechnical investigation, then witnessed and logged pile integrity testing across every foundation in the elevated section. On the pavement side we ran nuclear density and core testing on each asphalt lift, with rolling patterns adjusted on the basis of same-shift results.
The project closed on programme with the full materials dossier handed over as a searchable digital archive — every certificate traceable to a specimen, a chainage and a date.
